 * File

 

 New
Создает новый хотлист. Убедитесь, что Вы сохранили ваш предшествующий, если Вам необходимо сделать это. Hotlist не делает запроса на сохранение.

 

 Open
Загружает хотлист. Кнопка имеет дополнительное выпадающее меню, где Вы можете быстро выбрать хотлист из поддиректории списков пользователя, не используя лишних диалогов.

 

 Add
Добавит содержание другого хотлист-файла в уже существующий, вместо загрузки и замены текущего хотлиста. Кнопка имеет удобное выпадающее меню.

 

 Save
 Save as
Сохраняют текущий хотлист.

 

 

Allow Hotkeys
 Когда эта кнопка нажата, Hotlist передаст каждое нажатие клавиши непосредственно в AVS. Вы сможете управлять AVS без необходимости открывать окно AVS. Это очень полезно для переопределения горячих клавиш. Учтите, что Вы можете заставить AVS или Winamp сделать некоторые нежелательные операции.

 

Lock Hotlist
 Блокирует список, так что пресет не может быть загружен по клику. Есть две причины для этого. Reset Timer / Counter

File Settings
 Открывает диалог, где Вы должны выбрать директорию avs и способ обнаружения такта (beat detection ape). Если Вы любите добавлять ape вручную в ваших файлах avs, Вы можете использовать раздел в дополнительных настройках для добавления ape, чтобы применить его ко всем пресетам сразу в пределах определённой директории. Это может быть несколько быстрее, чем автоматический метод, но изменит вашы пресеты навсегда.

 

Picture Settings
 Открывает диалог, где Вы можете отрегулировать ваши параметры Picture и Screenshot. Количество всех изображений будет показано и Вы можете удалить их, если хотите. Вы можете также установить предпочтительный размер ваших изображений от 40*30 до 400*300. Пожалуйста имейте в виду, что ресайз замедлит AVS. Screenshot responsiveness позволит Вам регулировать, как быстро скриншоты будут сформированы, определяя задержку в миллисекундах.

 

Language
 Открывает диалог где Вы можете выбрать один из включенных языковых пакетов. Диалог покажет файловое имя, язык, имя автора, версию языкового пакета и дополнительную информацию. Пожалуйста, прочитайте главу о создании языковых пакетов, если Вы хотите написать его самостоятельно.

 

 

Editing Mode
 Нажмите кнопку, чтобы показать или спрятать раздел редактирования. Вы можете редактировать ваш файловый сценарий, когда AVS выполняется или нет, но помните, что огромные файловые операции заставят AVS замедлиться, хотя это уменьшается новым диспетчером изображений. Чтобы добавить пресет, Вы можете перетаскивать их в вашем файловом списке, или добавлять целые папки таким же образом, чтобы съэкономить время. Hotlist Style (large, small, no pictures)
 Нажмите одну из трех кнопок стиля, чтобы выбрать, как ваш пресет будет показан. Вы можете выбрать большой или маленький вариант показа изображений, чтобы иметь скриншот возле вашего пресета. Если Вы выбираете режим без изображений (no pictures mode), исходные имена файлов и их полный путь будут указаны около пресета вместо изображений.

 

Jump to Preset
 Вынуждает хотлист перескакивать на загруженный пресет, когда вы находитесь в автоматическом режиме. Это способ размещать текущий пресет всегда на виду.

 

Hotkey Markers (F1)
 Покажет небольшую иконку в верхнем левом углу скриншота, если вы загрузили пресеты на определённый хоткей. Не будет иметь никакого эффекта, если пресеты не сопоставлены скриншоту.

 

Screenshot
 Показывает или скрывает окно скриншотов. Вы можете назначить скриншот на ранее загруженный пресет (Use Screenshot) или сохранить скриншот в файле (Save Screenshot). Если скриншот не понравился, нажмите Обновить (Refresh). Вы можете обрабатывать мульти-пресеты, имея открытое окно скриншотов. Когда вы работаете с одним пресетом, загрузите следующий и нажмите Обновить.

 

Ghost Mode
 Сделает хотлист прозрачным. Работает только с Windows 2000 и XP.

 

Stick AVS in Foreground
 Разместит AVS поверх других окон. Оно будет всегда видимым.

 

Tool Bars
 Показывает три панели: Automation Bar, File Control Bar или Option Bar.

 

Status Bar
 Строка статуса. Фактически, это две полосы, но их переключение не имеет значения.

 

 

Sort Hotlist (A-Z)
 Сортирует текущий список в алфавитном порядке.

 

AVS Folder
 Эта кнопка располагается в пределах раздела Edit и открывает папку AVS.

 

Counter Options
 Хотлист загрузит следующий пресет после определенной суммы секунд или битов.

 

Customization
 Вы можете изменить размеры практически всего, Вы можете даже отключить панели. Hotlist сохранит ваши настройки и восстановит их. Есть только несколько исключений: Настройки, которые предполагают выполнение AVS, будут дезактивированы если AVS не работает. Маркеры хоткея (Hotkey Markers) не будут сохранены.

Save пресет to Hotkey
 Откроет подменю, где Вы можете выбрать один из 12 ключей F. Если пресет уже сохранён на хоткей, то предшествующий выбор будет дезактивирован. Если Вы сохраняете пресет на хоткей, который в настоящее время используется, предшествующий пресет заменится и будет свободно доступен для сохранения в другом хоткее.

 

Move to Top
 Переместить выбранный пресет наверх списка.
Move to Bottom
 Переместить выбранный пресет вниз списка.
Remove Preset
 Удаляет пресет из списка. Вы можете также нажать DEL.
Delete пресет from Harddisk
 Физически удаляет выбранный пресет. Это не возможно восстановить, так что будьте осторожны.

 

 

Loading Problems
 Если пресеты не загружаются, когда вы их выбираете, то более тщательно проверьте настройки File Settings.

 

Beat Detection Problems
 Если Обнаружение Такта (Beat Detection APE) не находится в вашей директории AVS, инсталлятор вероятно неправильно определил директорию winamp. Просто скопируйте Hotlist.ape в директорию AVS, чтобы решить эту проблему.

 

Picture Problems
 Если Вы имеете многочисленные или очень большие изображения, может произойти, что некоторые изображения не будут отображены. Screenshot Problems
 Если Screenshot function не работает правильно и скриншоты частично черные или показывают другие окна, выбирите большее время задержки. Если Вы не хотите освободить слишком много responsiveness, Вы также можете вместо этого попытаться обновить несколько раз, поскольку все они зависят от того, как быстро windows реагирует на команды - иногда это медленно, а иногда быстрее - ваши аппаратные средства также играют здесь важную роль. Тем не менее наилучший способ, это убедиться, что нет другого окна над окном AVS, тогда Вы должны бы работать абсолютно без задержки.

 

Language Pack Problems
 Если некоторые части текста остаются английскими, хотя Вы загрузили языковой пакет, значит пакет неполный или устаревший. Проверьте, что версия пакета та же, что и версия программы. Hotlist?

 

As I started to use AVS for live video projections, I figured out that AVS is really hard to control. Loading other Presets with the Mouse causes AVS to interrupt the music analyser, and the included hotkey feature is useless since you have to remember on which hotkey the preset has been saved. Furthermore those hotkeys are limited to 32 and that’s fairly not enough to do a VJ set.

 

So I started to code Hotlist and it became the most powerful VJ’ing Tool I know. Besides, recent versions were equipped with multiple functions that make Hotlist also a useful Tool for anyone who wants to use AVS for continuous visualisation with advanced controlling possibilities.

 

What’s new in Version 2?

 

A long time has passed since I published Hotlist 1 in the Winamp Forums. The old App was based on complete Hotkey sets that you could load using the F and the Number Keys. This is no longer the case. The Presets are now saved in one large list, sorted in alphabetical order. Furthermore, Hotlist is now completely sizeable, size and every little setting is saved when you close the Application. I could fill a book with all the improvements, so you’d better test it yourselves.

 

What’s new in Version 2.1?

 

• Added Language Pack Support (took a lot of time).
• Added a few features that are a bit “Playlister like”. Now you can choose between forward, reverse and random mode when the automatic mode is working. I also added a loop function.
• Added the Screenshot Delay thing to ensure that Screenshots are made properly.
• Some little Bug fixes on various things.
• Added an Install Shield Installer

 

What’s new in Version 2.2?

• Totally new: on beat preset switching. This is realized through an APE.
• Multiple hotlists support.

Here is a detailed explanation of hotlists function:

 

Main Menu and Tool Bar
(The following descriptions are not sorted by place of appearance but by functionality, so don’t be confused if menu items and tool buttons are mixed)

 

File Control
  New
Creates a new hotlist. Make sure that you saved your previous one if you want to keep it, holist won’t ask you if you haven’t
  Open
Loads a hotlist. The tool button has a additional dropdown menu where you can quickly choose a hotlist out of the User Lists subdir without using annoying dialogs.
  Add
This will add the content of a hotlist file to your existing one instead of loading and replacing the current hotlist. The “Add” button has a handy dropdown menu too.
  Save
Saves the current hotlist
  Save as
Saves the current hotlist to a specific file

 

Options
  Allow Hotkeys
When this Button is pressed, Hotlist will pass every Keystroke directly to AVS. This way, you'll be able to control avs via Hotkeys without the need to have the AVS-window selected. His is very useful for the new hotkeys-feature. Be aware that  you can cause to do AVS or Winamp to do some undesired operations.
  Edit Mode
Click this to show or hide the editing section. You can edit your file set no matter if you are running AVS or not, but remember that huge file operations will cause AVS to slow down, although this has been reduced by the new picture management.
To add presets, you can either drag & drop them to your file list, or you can add whole folders the same way to save time. You don’t need to be in editing mode to delete Presets. Just click the file set with your right mouse button and select an action from the popup menu. Deleting Presets won’t delete the saved pictures.

 

  AVS Folder
This button is located within the Edit section and will open the AVS folder.
  Hotlist Style
Click this one of the three style buttons to choose, how your presets will be shown. You can choose the large or the small pictures mode to have screenshots next to your presets. If you select the no pictures mode, the original filenames and their full path will be listed next to the presets instead of pictures.

 

  Sort List
Sorts the current list in alphabetical order.

 

  Lock List
This will lock the list, so presets can’t be loaded anymore by clicking. There are 2 reasons why you would like to do this. First, hotlist reacts very sensitive on clicking, so you will need to lock the list if you want to rearrange it and move presets around when you’re in a set. Second, this is a kind of parental lock when you’re off for a beer or restrooms (after a beer) and want to prevent others from abusing your hotlist ;-)
  Screenshot
Shows or hides the screenshot window. You can assign the screenshot to the previously loaded preset or save the screenshot to a file.
If you don’t like the screenshot, click refresh to make another one. You can process multiple presets having the screenshot window open. When you are done with one preset, load the next one and click refresh.
  Hotkey Markers
If you have loaded a presets to a specific hotkey, this will show a small icon in the upper left corner of the screenshot. This won’t have any effect if the presets has no corresponding screenshot.
  Ghost Mode
This will make hotlist look transparent. Only works with Windows 2000 and XP.
  Stick AVS in Foreground
This will make AVS the topmost window. It will always be visible.
 
Automation
  Automatic Mode
You can enable the automatic mode to let Hotlist switch the presets automatically. Nearby there is a box where you can set after how many seconds or beats the preset will be changed. You can change the interval or load presets manually even if the random mode is active, you don't have to deactivate it.
    Moving Options
You can also choose between forward, backward and random mode. Forward and backward modes can be looped if they reach the end of the hotlist. If random modes is enabled, the loop setting will have no effect.
  Counter Options
Hotlist will load the next preset after a certain amount of seconds or beats.
  Reset Counter
Selects if the counter is set to the start value again when you load a Preset manually.
  Jump to Preset
This lets Hotlist jump to the loaded Preset when you’re in automatic mode. This way you’ll always have the current  Preset selected and in front of you.

 

Settings
  File Settings
Opens a dialog where you have to select the avs directory and the way the beat detection ape is added. If you like to add the ape manually to your avs files, you can use the build in adding tool to add the ape to apply it to all presets within a specific directory at once. This may be a tiny bit faster than the automatic method but will change your presets permanently.
  Picture Settings
Opens a dialog where you can adjust your Picture settings and the Screenshot responsiveness. The number of all pictures will be displayed and you can delete them if you want. You can also set the preferred size of your pictures from 40*30 up to 400*300. Please keep in mind that resizing will slow down AVS.
The Screenshot responsiveness allows you to adjust how fast screenshots are made by inserting a delay of the defined number in milliseconds.
  Language
Opens a dialog where you can select one of the installed Language Packs. The dialog will show the file name, the language, the name of the author, the version of the language pack and additional information’s. Please read the chapter about creating language packs if you want to write one yourself.
Tool Bars
Shows or hides the three Tool Bars: Automation Bar, File Control Bar and Option Bar
Status Bar
Shows or hides the Status Bar. In fact, its two bars but switching them on and off separately doesn’t make any sense. Bug me with a mail if you feel a burning desire to switch through your status bars separately.
Customization
You can move an resize nearly everything, you can even undock the toolbars. Hotlist will save your settings and restore them, there are only few exceptions: Settings that need to have AVS running will be deactivated if AVS is not running. Hotkey Markers will not be saved.

 

Popup Menu
Save Preset to Hotkey
This will open a submenu where you can choose one of the twelve F keys. If the preset is already saved to a hotkey, this option will be deactivated. If you save a preset to a hotkey that’s currently used, the previous preset will be replaced and is free to be stored to another hotkey
  Move to Top
Moves the selected preset to the top of the list.
  Move to Bottom
Moves the selected preset to the bottom of the list.
  Remove Preset
Removes the preset from the list. You can also press DEL instead.
  Delete Preset from Harddisk
Physically removes the selected preset. It won’t be restorable, so be careful.

 

Still having Troubles?

 

Loading Problems
If the Presets are not loaded when you click them, you’d better check if the File Settings are correct.
Beat Detection Problems
If the Beat Detection APE is not in your AVS directory, the installer probably failed to located your winamp dir. Just copy the hotlist.ape into your AVS dir to solve this problem.
Picture Problems
If you have very much or very large pictures, it may occur that some pictures will not be displayed. If this is the case, please reduce the picture size until you can see all pictures.
This problem is caused by windows, as it limits the size of pictures. If you’re using Windows XP, Hotlist should be able to show twice as much pictures as with older Windows Versions. I will fix this as soon as there is any good solution. Btw, as I updated the picture management there are some changes: multiple used pictures will loaded only once. That’s good. But as preloading is used by now, ALL available pictures will be loaded on start, which is very important for speeding up Holist especially for changing presets and live editing. Unfortunately, the picture management will reach it's limits even faster. I know this is worse but try to handle this keeping your set of pictures up to date. You probably made screenshots of presets you don't have anymore. To clean your set up, load everything you got and use the new "Delete all currently not used Pictures" function.
Screenshot Problems
If the Screenshot function does not work properly and the screenshot is  partially black or shows other windows please choose a higher delay time. If you don’t want to loose too much responsiveness, you could also try to refresh several times instead, because this all depends on how fast windows reacts to Hotlists commands - sometimes it's lazy and sometimes it's fast - your hardware also plays an important role here. However the best  method is to make sure that there’s no other window over the AVS window,  then you should be able to act completely without delay.
Language Pack Problems
If some parts of  text remain English although you’ve loaded a Language Pack, then the Language Pack is either incomplete or outdated. Check if the Language Version of the Pack is the same as the Version of the Program. The current Language Version is displayed in the “about Hotlist” window. Try to download a pack that’s up to date.

 

If there is no up-to-date pack in your language at all,  feel free to create / update one.

 

Other Problems

If you think that Hotlist doesn’t fit your needs at all, I would advice you to visit http://vfx0.free.fr/softsen.htm and download Globefish’s AVS - Playlister. This program is a VJ Tool too and supports most of the Features that Hotlist does, but comes up with a completely different handling.

 

Creating Language Packs

 

Creating Language Packs is quite simple. First, make a copy of an existing Hotlist Language Pack file (*.lph). Then rename the new file and open it with your Text Editor and replace the Text with your own.

 

Here is an example of the Eng-Ex Language Pack:

 

[Hotlist Language Pack]  This classifies the file as a Language Pack  - Don’t Change!
English  The Name of the Language
Magic  The Name of the Author
1.2  The Language Version of the Pack à check this in the “About” window
English Example Language Pack  This Line is for additional information

 

[Buttons]  These entries are important for the internal Structure and will give you a hint where the text belongs to  - Don’t Change!
Hotkeys=Allow Hotkeys  Replace the Text after the ‘=’ with your own one.

 

Do the same with the following lines and save the file.

 

Some entries will contain a placeholder like %Preset% use them where they suit best but only if they are used within he example pack. If you try use a placeholder where or which is not supported,  it will be displayed as normal text.

 

Load the Language Pack and check if everything is OK.

 

If you want to publish the Pack, send it to me and I will add it to the Download.

 

By the way: If you publish your Pack, please be honest and don’t publish “Fun-Packs” which will rather confuse the user than help him - I won’t be able to check them all, I’m no multilingual genius.
